Enchanted Hour Read-Aloud

Enchanted Hour Read-Aloud In-Person

The Enchanted Hour Read-Aloud is a program that will be hosted weekly in the evenings. Adults will take turns reading from a chapter of a preselected book. At the end of the chapter, a discussion takes place on what they read along with their interpretation of the reading. Reading aloud offers multiple benefits from shared experiences and meaningful interpretation of readings to building community around literature and providing a new environment to socialize. No reading in advance is required. Students, faculty, and community members are welcome. Please register for this event through Taylor Memorial Library's posting.

Light refreshments will be served.

Yoli Worth is a Latina writer and poet whose writing examines the human condition. Yoli's writing brings readers in through the depths of inquiry and observation. Graduate of the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, she was also editor-in-chief of the university's literary magazine, Verbal Seduction. She is a frequent participant of poetry readings. Yoli is in her first year of a self-directed MFA in which she is studying poetry and writing through books, film, music, podcasts, composition and community writing groups. When not writing, she hikes, hunts for mushrooms, goes to the theater, and explores nearby cities as a "local tourist". She splits her time between New Jersey and Arizona, and is currently working for a New Jersey state legislator.
